Anyone watch this? I think it's hilarious, like a weekely edition of Super Troopers.
Not spectacular television, but it will make you laugh.

Comedy Central still hasnt redeemed themselves for...

1. Letting/Kicking Adam and Jimmy off The Man Show.
2. Rerunning all the old, crappy SNL episodes - and not running any old Kids In The Hall episodes.
3. Showing Ferris Beuler's Day Off 10,000 times in the last 5 years.

Reno is hilarious. I love that show. It makes me want to go watch super troopers again. While it isn't amazing the show is hilarious and has some great scenes.

Why did they kick Adam and Jimmy of the Man Show??!?!?!? they were hilarious I don't know if I will be able to watch it now. I never saw kids in the hall, what was it about?

I really dont know why Adam and Jimmy arent on anymore, only that these new guys are doing a lousy job imitating them.

Kids In The Hall...
Kids In The Hall was a bunch of cross-dressing Canadiens doing sketches produced by Lorne Michaels (guy that made SNL). It was so random and completely crazy...God it was great.

They show Kids in the Hall once in awhile at the 1:00-3:00 AM slots. If your an insomniac like me you will also catch other shows. Like the craptastic Sports Night or whatever its called, or even rarer the "Ben Stiller Show". Though its pretty random and SNL and Sports Night are the ones usually on.

This show is awesome, I just wish they had more episodes in rotation. Everytime I turn it on I see the same damn eipisode.

Not verbatim, but this show is a killer.

I have several theories on what happened to "The Man Show."

First, I need to explain my take on the source of the show's humor:

1.) The humor isn't a glowing endorsement of masculine behavior, it does not celebrate crudeness, rather, it mocks it. Notice how the jokes were constructed: The typical Man Show joke revolves around the fat, out of shape, crude, disgusting American male.

Frequently, the status quo male (masculine) is mocked and ridiculed, while, in the same fashion, men on the other type of the spectrum (the feminized male) are mocked accordingly.

Essentially, the show suggests that the normal, acceptable male is found somewhere inbetween the ultra masculine and the ultra feminine. They establish both extremes and define normal behavior as something that lies inbetween.

Notice the inordinate amount of midgets on the show? That's because midgets are sexually non-threatening. Midgets do not steal women out from underneath you. I assume that the typical man-show watcher is deeply insecure about his position in life and, essentially, seeks affirmation in his own normality and masculinity.

Both shows have this, but the new show no longer mocks masculinity, it endorses it.

The revamped man show, however, celebrates masculinism. The new hosts are not only more masculine in appearance, but in behavior as well.

I doubt the show will last much longer.

Anyway, I heard that Adam and Jimmy no longer wanted to do the show. I don't think they were fired, I think the jokes just started to get old.

First off, Reno 911 is one of the better original shows to hit Comedy Central since UCB. It's funny stuff, at least IMO.

Secondly, I agree with Joust about the progression of the Man Show. I thought the first season was funny. What with the Fox, and Adam and Jimmy feeling their way through it. Now, intead of dick and fart jokes, it's a celebration of the dick and fart.

Comedy Central really does need to work on its programming schedule. How many times can you watch Revenge of the Nerds?
