Hey, you should put a link to it up top on the forums.
Admin cp > Html templates > Manage html > Right side where it says "quick clicks, Edit board header" click go.
Then find this:
| CODE |
<!-- IE6/Win TABLE FIX --> <table width="100%" cellspacing="6" id="submenu"> <tr> <td><a href='{ibf.vars.home_url}'>{ibf.vars.home_name}</a><!--IBF.RULES--></td> <td align="right"> <img src="{ibf.vars.img_url}/atb_help.gif" border="0" alt="" /> <a href='{ibf.script_url}act=Help'>{ibf.lang.tb_help}</a> <img src="{ibf.vars.img_url}/atb_search.gif" border="0" alt="" /> <a href='{ibf.script_url}act=Search&f={$ibforums->input['f']}'>{ibf.lang.tb_search}</a> <img src="{ibf.vars.img_url}/atb_members.gif" border="0" alt="" /> <a href='{ibf.script_url}act=Members'>{ibf.lang.tb_mlist}</a> <img src="{ibf.vars.img_url}/atb_calendar.gif" border="0" alt="" /> <a href='{ibf.script_url}act=calendar'>{ibf.lang.tb_calendar}</a> |
Add
| CODE |
| <a href="http://www.armoredcore.org/modules.php?name=IrcFull>Chatroom</a> |
This way, more people will see it, and maybe go in.

If you wanted to make it into a pop up window when people click on it so the browser wouldn't leave the forums, you could always use this.
| CODE |
<script language="javascript"> function createWindow(cUrl,cName,cFeatures) { var xWin = window.open(cUrl,cName,cFeatures) } </SCRIPT> <A href="javascript:createWindow('http://www.armoredcore.org/modules.php?name=IrcFull','window1','width=640,height=480,scrollbars,')">Chatroom</A> |
And this time I have the code right.

Yes, and please folks, download a legitimate IRC client like mIRC or
some such, so that the discussion can go beyond how many IRC Ops you've seen this afternoon. I'd like to get back on topic - pr0n.

This is only an issue because allegedly the bonehead CGI IRC client that's being used is causing issues with the server it's connecting to.

Aug 24 2004, 10:42 AM
Hey, to hell with you!

Three IRCops in as many hours is a record unless you visit a damn help channel.
Basically folks the issue is everybody who logs in through CGI is seen by the server as a clone - because the server masks the IP. This is bad because it looks like clone flooding.
So it's still a work in progress. However, if you haven't used the chat by the end of this week, you're a fucking punk.

Aug 24 2004, 02:08 PM
Yes, because you're ISP is seemingly banned.
That's no reason for anybody else to not use one, particularly since the CGI chat is causing nothing but troubles for the admins of the server.
Assuming they're not using the same ISP you are.
You're the exception for the moment.

If not, just find another server. Simple as that.

The CGI interface is giving me trouble. I can't get in Channel. In fact, I'm not even sure I'm connected to irc.blitzed.net.
Kinda bizarre, really. I'm not sure whether it's because I'm using Firefox and it has some sort of compatibility issue with Java.
The interface, however, is pretty stellar. Well done!

What version of firefox are you using? I'm using 9.2 and it works fine. I had to download a java interface to go with it, (java 2 runtime environment SE v1.4.2_04) but it's working fine and connected for me.

Jon, get off the high horse and familiarize yourself with
basic IRC commands and you can stop playing the victim.
/ignore <username>
Try that for starters.

I've been wondering when the latest pustule of
Ganesha Rudeness would pop and spill its vitriolic contents o'er my back.

So, whenever any new person enters the chatroom, or whenever anyone decides to leave the chatroom, I should immediately
/ignore all users and simply wait a few minutes for people to finish greeting/saying goodbye? Wow, Thanks Easter Gregbear!
BOCK BOCK!
Ganesha
Sep 7 2004, 10:00 AM
No, hippy.
Say for instance you know I'm a cocksucker.
Then you type in /ignore Ganesha
That's that.
Then you won't have to get on here and cry about rudeness and whatnot. It doesn't take more than two or three lines of text to determine a chatters input value.
I've got an ignore list as long as both of my arms for some of the servers I frequent.
Problem being since you're a Java user, you won't have the luxury of a local ignore file. So you'll have to manually activate it per session.

Boy, musta been a bad one. Work? Not get another job? Ahh, not my business.
Greg. You may recall we used to chat via IRC, after you got me the mIRC client? No, I don't know all the terminology as well as you do, but I certainly know the /ignore command. And the /me (takes some funny action) command. And enough others to get by just fine. You might even recall at one point, you initiated a chat via a few mouse clicks (DSC chat? Again, I'm not strong on the terms), and I showed you how to do it in
one mouse command, just something I had figured out by experimenting about a bit.
In other words, you know I know how to do what you're saying, and you also know it doesn't really relate to what I said (or only conditionally if so). It's not always the answer to /ignore anyone who isn't directly contributing to the conversation you're in right then. Sometimes you set up a private chat, etc. Go ahead, take your shots, etc. Obviously using me as a verbal punching bag does your soul good. And the rest of the forums usually get a laugh from our little melodramas.

Frankly, I don't recall much of the Mark server chat, other than you doing the IRC version of curling into a fetal position, since we seemingly couldn't discuss anything relevant to AC.

ZA-ZA-ZIDDLY-ZING! Biddy bim biddy bim.
I really, really wish I could get you to read Glen Cook's

"Sitzman is a poof." All completely untrue, as any regular knows. Yer' just tryin' ta start sumfin'.
What probably ought to bug me a lot more than it does, is that after... what, six years? I find myself almost enjoying it.
Ha ha! Is this all stuff relating to the ranting each of you were doing before i jumped off? Sounds like sometimes you should just accept not to talk about certain subjects, and leave it as that.
