I'm in no rush to get anymore, but I do just want to throw out the idea of having multiple skins options. Let's hope you don't get as annoyed as Fen did when I asked a long time ago.

Haha, not annoyed at all. However, from past responses I gather that it's a fair amount of work, so it will definitely be a while before I get anything going, ESPECIALLY considering I'm not exactly sure where to start. Once again, if you want to speed things up link me to a tutorial or something.

Actually, a guy I know made some skins for a site called Ninten, that used Invisionboard. He told me that there is a template file for the original skin. To make a new skin, you copy the template file and edit it (I'm assuming it's HTML) to incorporate whatever new changes you want.

This has a lot of skins you can dload and tweak. I'm sure there are tutorials there as well. It gives you something to consider anyhow.

Well, regardless, I'm not going to be implementing ANY skins or major board changes until I get back to MY computer (I've been running this place from my dad's crappy laptop). I may pick out a few of the skins from that site to use both as alternates for the picky among as well as templates to start designing a custom skin from, so I should be able to get a couple of alternatives up before long.

If we can find Diva, I know she has the programming for certain skins.

well, considering just how many skins EJ has for ACO now, I'd suggest seeing about getting some of them, just to appease the crowd, not to mention they don't look bad either

In adding skins remember some of us readers will have been up for 12+ hours and bright colors give one headaches at around that time.

I got that thing all figured out, so feel free to share at any time. I haven't had the time/inclination/expertise to make any custom skins myself.

I think toning down the white of this skin would do wonders for it's read-ability. That'd be a fairly minor tweak, no?

Reminiscent of the CDF, too, IIRC. Though you might find GA throwing flames up your ass for something like that.

I did multiple, three to five, skins at Mech Madness on IkonBoard v2 and v3. It is pretty similar to Invision, so I could possibly help. Maybe even make an Old MM skin again for all those nostalgic MMers.


And one thing that was never told to anybody that Ares (his name is Josh) was told to design a skin for MM by Daniel. I actually helped do that and logged on Daniel's account. Eh, that was while I was banned from MM for my fifth time or so. I didn't unban myself, so I have shown self-restraint in forum related matters even if it meant my never being unbanned.
