++ Adult Swim's November Schedule - The Cartoon Network has released the November
schedule for its popular Adult Swim block, which delivers the highest ratings in the
coveted 18-34 male demographic of any sponsored cable network. Starting on November 3,
new (to the Cartoon Network) episodes of Futurama lead off at 11pm (ET, PT) followed by
the Family Guy. Next come four anime series with the wild and crazy Fooly Cooly first,
followed by The Big O, Trigun, and Kikaider.
++ Some Day's Dreamer website is currently up and running - Be sure to check out the
Somedays Dreamer website which can be found here:

++ GTO Anime Series on Showtime - Tokyopop has announced that it has entered into an
agreement with Showtime Networks Inc. to bring the 43-episode anime series, Great Teacher
Onizuka, to the Network's SHO Next channel starting on November 3 with new episodes airing
nightly Monday through Friday. SHO Next is Showtime's most youth-oriented channel, targeting
Gen Y adults (19-24) with more than 50 feature films a month plus short films and animation,
which should make the GTO anime series a good fit.
++ Porco Rosso Premier! - Disney's English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's Porco Rosso will premiere
next Tuesday, October 14th at the Austin Film Festival. Produced by John Lasseter and directed
by Tony Bancroft, the dub features Michael Keaton as Porco Rosso, Cary Elwes as Donald Curtis,
Kimberly Williams-Paisley as Fio, and Susan Egan as Gina.
++ ADV's Angelic Layer site online - ADV has pulled together another website for an upcoming
anime series. This time it's Angelic Layer, replete with downloadable artwork, episode guides,
and plenty of omake!

++ Anime Network Grabs Chobits - Anime Network has been awarded an exclusive two-year
licensing agreement giving it U.S. television rights for all 24 instalments of Pioneer
Animation's popular half-hour anime series Chobits. The announcement was made recently at
MIPCOM by network president Kevin Corcoran and Pioneer Animation licensing manager David Yost.
++ Geneon (Pioneer) to Release Second Ai Yori Aoshi Series - A spokesperson for Geneon
(previously Pioneer Anime) has confirmed that the company will be releasing the sequel to
the popular anime comedy romance Ai Yori Aoshi. The fifth and final volume of the 24-episode
Ai Yori Aoshi contains a note indicating that the love story between Aoi and Kaoru is not
complete, and that Geneon would be releasing the sequel Ai Yori Aoshi -- Enishi ('fate')
in early 2004. The 12-episode Ai Yori Aoshi -- Enishi series is showing on Japanese TV now.
If it appears on DVD in the US in 'early 2004' it will offer further proof that the window
between when an anime series appears in Japan and when it comes to the States is shortening
even further.
++ Synch-Point Cuts FLCL booklets - Production of the large information booklets included
in Synch-Point's FLCL releases will be ending soon. According to a statement from Synch-Point,
increased demand for the FLCL DVDs has made them unable to keep up with production, so they
will be discontinuing the books in order to streamline production.
++ Valusoft Gets Initial D License - Tokyopop has announced that it has licensed Initial D
to Valusoft for a PC game, to be released in early 2004. Valusoft, a THQ division, produces
titles primarily from $9.99 to $19.99, sold through mass merchants. It has an existing line
of racing titles, including several based on the street racing scene from which Initial D
draws its inspiration.
++ Heat Guy J To appear on MTV! - Geneon (formerly Pioneer) has just announced that they
have just signed a deal with MTV to put Heat Guy J on MTV sometime this fall. The Scheduling
is tentative at the moment but as soon as more information becomes available, we will
keep you posted.
++ English Nausicaa Dub in the Works - Cindy Hewitt and Donald Hewitt the english
language adapters for Porco Rosso and Spirited Away were present at the Porco Rosso
screening. Amongst the items they mentioned, they stated that the English language dub
for Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind is currently in progress. Patrick Stewart and Uma
Therman will be part of the cast, and Natalie Portman is expected to be in the dub as well,
though it is not yet confirmed.
