Since I have so little time to actually read a book, I like to make sure that one is worthwhile before I start. Has anyone on this board read
Dude, where's my Country? by Michael Moore? I hear it's informative as well as being extremely funny.

Of course I read books - all the time in fact. Though I can't say I've heard of the one you're talking about.
I'll look into it though

Moving to Mixed Media: Books.
And Michael Moore doesn't exactly have the most unbiased perspective in the world.
Then again, the same can be said about Bill O'Riley's competing book.

Bill's first book was pretty open minded and realistic.
His second book is straight from the mind of a psycho conservative like my grandfather. I really dont care for Bill O'Reilly anymore - he's gotten to be such an asshole.
Furthermore, I really dont feel like reading political text at all these days - gives me a headache it does.

Dude, Where's My Country, when read with critical thinking and moderation, can be a very good eye-opener. There are things that are f*ck*d up going on. Just look at the "What The Fuck Is Happening To This Country" thread and you'll see a few things. Then again, you will also see some people who just keep turning a blind eye and defending the wrongs that are going on. I won't mention any names, but if you read the posts you'll know who I'm talking about. They're the same guys who are always close-minded and selfish.

Dude where's my country is an excellant book. It clearly points out some serious mistakes made by our government that are supported with facts if you care so much as to look them up. While some sections are biased others seem biased only because they expose what actually did happen. If anything it is good for a laugh regardless of what side you're on. (that means you, you right wing nazis)
