Granted this is a holiday weekend, but still it's been like a ghostown here today. Unless I missed it somewhere, I think a general discussion or an offtopic forum would be a nice addition to boot. So let's start posting for cryin' out loud.

No offense, but that's what the General Discussion forum is about things other than AC, Anime, Music, Movies, etc.

No discussion isn't always a bad thing, and I think we're still trying to get over the shock of Fen closing NCD. Yeah it maybe nice to many threads talking about things, but I'd hope it would of some interest rather than a form of random spam like "I like Cheese". When it comes to posting personally I prefer quality over quantity.

He's kinda right, I've opened a couple threads and although viewing counts have been fairly nominal, actual posting is slim to none.
I'd post more, but I dont want my info to read "Saturn9 responsible for 63% of all posts".

Well, keep in mind that we're still building up a posting base. Several of the most prolific posters from the NCD still haven't appeared here, 1337 most notable among them. Just give the forum some time to get started, it ain't gonna happen overnight. Unless it does.

Yeah. Even at the NCD, things were settling into a comfortable lull now that most people are in Silent Line mode.

When some interesting topics or new ideas pop up for debate, things'll take off.

I'd like to see a slimming down of the number of topics. For instance, there are too many subject categories that have nothing to do with AC, and nearly outstrip the number of subjects dealing with AC.

I don't think you really need to split up misc. and media related things, because, to be honest, they could all fit into the same box.

Also, I'd like to see a return of special interest stuff, like Deep Blue's Paintshop. There are also a lot of Newbs that have questions about AC. I think you could have a special place where the newbs could ask questions and not clutter up the main forum.

Not to get too off topic, but what Joust said reminds me of a suggestion I put in at the Depot. What about a forum dedicated to links? People could post a link, and a description to the site. That way, people that are trying to start something can get the exposure they need without having to worry about spamming the boards. Help bring the community together more and all.

Important ones like AC-X or ACO would probably get stickied. Hell, it doesn't even all need to be AC related. Maybe make a sub-forum for non-AC links?

That's a very good idea. We're about connectivity, about getting people connected. There should be, most certainly, a link to AC-X's builder, as well as a link to all the big AC sites out there.

well, I agree with the idea of a sub-forum for links, its nice to be able to post something like that up, especially if its a place you visit all the time, and you want to tell a lot of people at once, rather then doing something like pming people, also the newbs section sounds good, and I miss Deep blue's shop (not that I actually used it, but it was nice to be able to take a look at what schemes he's come up with from time to time, not too mention I was gonna make a post about a design of mine, but can't now, and couldn't at the time, due to my cousin borrowing SL)

well I agree a paint are would be nice, but don't call it Deep Blues paintshop. Newbs can ask questions in Core Rational.
