I have to append the question mark because I haven't actually seen it, just know something about the events that inspired it. This is IGN's review. Since this is a story rather than a documentary, it's not surprising to hear it's character focused. However to hear the reviewer talk, the film does a fairly good job of illustrating the cruelty and amorality surrounding conflict diamonds. If it is at all educational in that respect, I'd recommend seeing it.
