I've been downloading some translated manga recently, and this one I just couldn't stop reading. I would have to recommend this to pretty much anyone, it's just that good. In fact, that's the purpose of this post, to recommend it to anyone who will listen. I don't want to give away too much, but I guess some sort of explanation of what it's about is in order... the way it starts out, anyway, is following a group of friends simultaneously as they're growing up and as they're grown up. After a little while, one of them notices odd correlations between current events and heroic fantasies that they came up with as children. There's a mysterious cult led by a man who goes simply by the name of 'Friend' (Tomodachi), and as the sign of his cult he uses a symbol that only that group of friends knew as children. From there, things just get stranger and stranger, and more and more of their childish fantasies come to life. This story is full of twists, and you can never really know anything for sure, but it never feels like they're making it up as they go along. Everything that happens later on is tied to some earlier element of the story.
Anyway: Really damn good. If you have BitTorrent you can download it all at the translation group's website: http://www.thehawks.org/hawks/bt/

note to self: Kick ICARUS' ass for killing all forms of p2p. Then go home and d/l this over the weekend with some inuyasha stuff.
