MOTHA FUCKING AFRO ON A MOTHA FUCKING SAMURAI! Seriously everyone needs to watch this show. Apparently its a miniseries with 5 episodes. Its got top notch animation by Gonzo who have worked on lots of high quality anime in the past (hellsing, samurai7, fullmetal panic, trinity blood, gantz, lots of other crap). Voice talent has Samuel L. Jackson, Kelly Hu, and Ron Perlman. Lots of crazy stuff with ancient japan meeting wild west and the present since they have cell phones and shit for some reason.

Honestly I'm amazed it got on TV (its on Spike thursdays at 10 I think) due to the graphic violence and sex scenes but it was still the best show I've seen in a while. If you havn't seen it go watch it. Unless your a total racist and hate cartoons there is something for everyone to enjoy.

P.S. It makes Samurai Champloo look like a giant pile of shit in comparison.

I'll have to catch this next time it's on. I've been on the fence about it, but it does look somewhat interesting.

I just DLed and watched the first episode and thought it was among the most godawful piles of crap I've ever seen. GREAT animation, but Jesus, it reminded me of Excel Saga in that it kept on piling on cliche after cliche until it degenerated into retarded nonsense. Oh, and thank god they managed to work in an annoying sidekick, and thus destroy any chance the show had at actually maintaining an atmosphere.

I found it boring. It tried to be interesting and unique, but in the end it was about as entertaining as Reign.

Well first ep was no character + no plot = no show. I dunno if the rest are like that, I deleted the shit off my HD, but I have no reason to believe they aren't.

I had my brain turned off the entire time. The fights were cool though.
