Yeah, it does look a bit gay to me, but "to each his own" I suppose. From what I have seen, there will be 12 episodes, and each 30 minutes long. The animators are the same ones who did Death Note.

Oh hey, I watched a bit of this on Youtube a while back. Yeah, its very run of the mill and formulaic. Its supposed to be a normal day in Dante's life, but with about as much variety as you can expect from Pokemon or any other anime based on a different product.
